Waldhaus Wilhelm in Maikammer

Booked an overnight stay with a menu. The food was excellent, the wines very good. Super friendly service, all C rules were followed. The room was large and spacious, as was the bathroom. But unfortunately I have to deduct a point from the room because the furniture is getting on in years. All in all a recommendation!

Pure relaxation and excellent cuisine

The Waldhaus Wilhelm is one of our favorite restaurants. Here you not only get great food, but also incredibly great service. The prices are absolutely reasonable for these delicious dishes and the espresso is always a great way to end the meal. There are always seasonal dishes and a great wine list.

Very good food, very good and friendly service in a beautiful forest area at the foot of the Kalmit and in the most beautiful wine-growing region in Germany.

The food is excellent. The prices have risen a bit and are now borderline high, but the quality of the food and the courteous and attentive service are worth it!

Very tasty seasonal Palatinate cuisine with high standards. Super wine list with a large selection of regional and international wines. Nice ambience and friendly courteous staff. Nice bright, well-kept and clean rooms that invite you to spend the night. Good breakfast and a large parking lot complete the overall picture.

Very nice, everything still in its original state, I particularly like the vegetarian day on Tuesdays, and the salad buffet. The environment is perfect for taking a walk in the forest before or after dinner

For years a safe bank! Always new dishes and new ideas. Nice ambience and great service. But the best - only Palatinate wines, that's all it takes. And we will come back.

The wait staff were super friendly and very attentive. The food, however, still has a lot of room for improvement. Anrichteweise and taste nothing special. I had the duck breast which was not crunchy and the appetizer was very manageable. The wine list does not match the rest and is very confusing. Here one should probably consider reducing and redesigning the map itself.

Since 1994 we have visited Waldhaus Wilhelm nearly 25 times for good reasons. Waldhaus Wilhelm is well situated, and the restaurant and the service is, to put it mildly, excellent ?It is our favourite place ???

Quality, quantity are in proportion to the price. Us 4 was very good. Very friendly and attentive service. Nice terrace with sun and shade. Reservation recommended.!

Rooms: Were neat and spacious as well as the bathroom. Breakfast: Was very extensive and delicious. Dinner: Was very tasty and fine, finer than German traditional cuisine and certainly enough with one salad buffet each time between starter and main course. (4 courses) Friendliness: everyone was very friendly and helpful. Price / quality: top! certainly for what you get. Location: was in the middle of the woods (2 km from Maikammer) at the start of the Pfälzerwald and of course not far from the vineyards. Conclusion: Very good hotel for those who love peace and nature with friendly owners, well-kept rooms and excellent food and breakfast!
